June Healthy Living Message Road to Wellness Health Ministry 2020

Prosper and be in Good Health III John 2 The Year of Double Portion Blessings!!!

Stay Safe Damascus Family and Friends. Continue to stay at home unless you are engaged in essential activities.

You protect yourself and your family and friends by staying put.Wear a mask (facial covering of the mouth and nose) when you venture out of your house. Also, consider wearing gloves when you shop.

Remember to wash your hands and use hand sanitizer frequently. Keep hands away from your mouth, nose, eyes and face. Get some fresh air. Go outside-front porch, yard, neighborhood or even to the park. Take your mask if you walk beyond your home just in case you are in contact with others.

Remember to stay 6 feet from other people. Stay connected by calling family, friends and church members, especially those who live alone. Positive conversation brings joy and peace. Spend extra time in prayer so you can intercede for others and hear from the Lord. God is in control and He will speak to the church about this situation. We need to be in God’s presence so we can listen and discern what He wants us to do.

Spend extra time in bible reading, bible study and quiet time devotion. We know God through His Word. As we immerse ourselves in the Word of God, our faith will increase and we will understand the character and will of God.

We may have to stay at home, yet you don’t have to just sit at home. Be intentional about moving everyday. Walk inside your home. Do exercises and stretches while sitting in a chair. Use the Internet to find short, meaningful exercise programs. Youtube has whatever you might feel comfortable doing.

Eat more fruits, vegetables, nuts and grains. Drink more water. Use this time at home to choose a healthier diet. Use the Internet to sample healthy recipes.

If you are feeling lonely or depressed, don’t be ashamed. Reach out to those you can trust and those who can help you. If necessary, contact your primary physician so you can be referred to resources or medical help. You are not alone. Psalm 62:8 Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.
